The added ginger supports sensitive stomachs, which is especially important when traveling. This unique blend of hemp seed oil, hemp seed powder, L-tryptophan, and Melatonin helps to reduce stress and tension. With NaturVet Hemp Quiet Moments Calming Aid, you can help promote a calm and relaxed pooch. Whether your dog hides under the couch every 4th of July or whines and cries when left home alone, feeling calm and relaxed is extremely important to their overall health. I cannot fathom how difficult it would be to get your cat to eat these as a supplement every day.Dogs feel stressed or anxious for different reasons, just like we do. It was difficult enough for me to get my cat to eat this just for the once-in-a-while stay with my parents. Based on my cat, since he didn't like the taste of this one, I think it's safe to assume he won't like the taste of any of them. (the digestive enzymes, the hairball control, etc.) The chews all seem to be made of the same material based on the ingredients list, with differing active ingredients for each of the marketed uses. I would also not recommend buying the other products from this brand that they market as more of a daily supplement. Not if you need them to sleep through something really stressful or calm down their anxiety. Melatonin is just a hormone naturally produced by your body to start your sleep cycle, so these aids are only good if you need your cat to nap through something for a brief time. But I would not use these for regularly anxious cats as a daily supplement to calm them, or as something for very long car rides/stressful events. Just from what I needed which was an aid to get my cat to try and nap through a fairly short drive it seems to work. I would say that if you use these on occasion and are prepared to try different methods to get your pet to take them, then you're getting your moneys worth since the shelf life on these aren't too bad. Once these moments pass, he will try to go back to sleep. There are moments where he'll wake up and cry, but usually that's because of really rough conditions of the road or me needing to hit the brakes because of traffic. As far as the car ride went, usually he cries in the car but he did in fact stay quiet and attempt to sleep through the whole ride. He did start to get sleepy after 30 minutes of eating it so they do work as stated. I had to dip it in some water and feed it to him pill style to get him to take it. Most importantly, I can only assume these things taste like dirt just from what they smell like to me, because my cat does not like to eat these. Secondly, they do crumble very easily but I find that they have better consistency when either whole or dipped in water. Firstly, the treats are just slightly larger than your average cat treat so my cat kind of awkwardly picks them up and drops them from his mouth. Specifically, a 2-3 hour drive from my house to my parents house I've been planning for several weeks. I picked these up from my pet store looking for something to calm my cat in car rides. Passible as a sleep aid/travel aid for car rides, but my cat does not like these
